Also don’t forget to scroll through and enjoy the other submissions! Here are some of my favourites:

Simple monochrome headshot print of a beast with tangled hair/fur that shapes the design neatly when viewed from a distance. Overall symmetry with subtle non-symmetrical features such as the beast's fangs make for a smooth composition in its entirety. Curious accessories like the hat and double glasses complete the design, add a quirky feel to it, and prompt viewers to picture a 4-eyed beast.

Great balance of colour and the arrangement of butterfly shapes leaves balanced distributions of empty regions in the design. The design plays into the shape of the t shirt and would create a fitting blend into the wearer's shoulders, arms and neck.

chöok's comments: instant identification of the "beast" (tiger) while the bright red "HYPEBEAST" splash creates a vivid contrast with the otherwise monochrome print. This draws attention to the beast's eye region, creating mystery and interest. The tiger's sweater sets up an urban look and the darker regions at the bottom of the shirt complete the design with good balance in shade.

Collaboration: Puma X ASOS

Puma ASOS collab

Feeding off the momentum from the Puma X ASOS Black menswear line, the 2 are teaming up once again – this time, to launch a womenswear line. The Puma X ASOS Spring/Summer 2014 Womenswear collab will feature 12 pieces, including joggers, tubes, sweats and tees that sport vivid colours and athletic contours. Loud Puma logos create a stark contrast with alternative fabrics like animal prints, checks, leather, lace, fur and graffiti.

Look out for the launch scheduled for January 2014.

Depression

Singapore-based design institute DEPRESSION regularly churns out unisex graphic t-shirts and minimalist street fashion pieces that neatly combine the elements of dark humor, irony and “nerd-chic”. As an expression of the creators’ being ‘depressed’ with corporate life, DEPRESSION is for the individual who aspires to break free from boredom and stand out from the rest of the crowd.
